BWY Foundation Course Certificate

This will be an end in itself or can be the entry requirement for the: Teacher Training Diploma

You can choose to do only the Foundation Course Certificate with no commitment to progressing further.  This course is studied over a maximum of nine months plus a two monthly break for holidays

The emphasis in the Foundation Course is on personal development by keeping a journal based on the course practice sheets. There will also be short video clips to enhance tuition.

Important

The BWY Distance Learning Foundation Course was suspended whilst being redesigned.  During this time, it has been redesigned to go with the new Foundation Course Syllabus updates.  The Distance Learning Foundation Course will be re-started using the new Syllabus on May 1st 2011.  

At the present time, there is no Distance Learning Diploma Course available so progression to Diploma teacher training after the Foundation course, would need to be by a face to face course.

There are two areas in which the DL FC is useful:

1. The BWY Distance Learning Foundation Course is available for those people who have the opportunity of a future place on a face to face BWY Teacher Training Diploma Course or think they may consider Teacher Training in the future. If you are in this category, you can use the Distance Learning Foundation Course option when you are not able to synchronise with a local Foundation Course.

2. The BWY Distance Learning Foundation Course is available for those people wishing to do it for their own personal development.

3. A BWY Foundation Course is normally asked for as a prerequisite for acceptance on to a Diploma Course.
